Three Canadian citizens, Hiva Mohammad Alizadeh, 30 and Misbahuddin Ahmed, 26, both of Ottawa and Khurram Syed Sher, 28, of London, Ont., have been charged in an alleged terrorism plot in Canada. Alizadeh, the alleged ring-leader of the group, is also charged with terrorist financing for allegedly making property or financial services available to a terrorist group. It is an offence under Section 83.03 of the Criminal Code of CanadaÂ to provide financing that will be used by or benefit a terrorist group. Police said searches of the property of the accused turned up a vast quantity of terrorist literature, videos and more than 50 electronic circuit boards designed specifically for remotely detonating explosive devices. The group is alleged to have planned to bomb Ottawa.
